Brown Ladies: Top 5 Ethnic Beauty Bloggers

Beauty blogging is an art – and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! These amazing women open the world of makeup artistry to all of us at home, and are also fierce business women. While it can seem that our Caucasian ladies dominate the space, this can be tough for us ethnic girls since what works on their skin is definitely not for us. Over the last decade though, increasingly ethnic women have been rising stars capturing a world-wide audience. Here are my top 5 brown babes killing it in the business!

01. Kaushal Beauty

This British-Indian has over 1.6 million subscribers, and with good reason! She is fun, friendly and makes you feel like she is your friend teaching you a few tricks. Kaushal does some great Indian style looks for sari’s and lehenga’s but my personal favourite are her step-by-step routine tutorials (check out the cream contour and eyebrow routine). Most recently she has been featured in a campaign with Loreal making us brown girls everywhere proud!

02. Irene Sarah Khan

This Bangladeshi-American bombshell is a fashion photographer and beauty blogger with some serious slay! Based in Los Angeles with her adorable husband, she does glam like none else and her cheekbones are killer. She is my go to for very glamorous looks that will have heads turning, and she is a soon to be mom! Irene also can be counted on to create looks using the hottest new products on the market keeping you up to date on the must haves for your makeup bag!

03. Huda Khan

From being an Arab-American beauty blogger, she founded Huda Beauty and became the CEO of a beauty brand that is taking everyone by storm. Starting with creating fake eyelashes, now the famous Huda Rose Gold eyeshadow palate is a must have, and her liquid lipsticks are to die for. Huda is now based in Dubia and continues to put out great videos that have some amazing looks.

04. Sonal Sagarya

This cute-as-a-button YouTuber is based in Mumbia and reminds you of every girl you know and love. Simple, fuss free and everyday looks are her forte and she also uses popular Indian brands like Lakme which us brown ladies love! My personal favourite are her product reviews and DIY videos which are great and unrivalled.

05. The Life of NiNe

Sri Lankan makeup artist Nisha of Senisha Makeup Artistry teamed up with another Sri Lankan makeup artists – Nethmi – to give us the Life of NiNe. Their channel is very new but it has amazing potential and some great tutorials already up! Who better to tell us Sri Lankans what looks great than our fellow Lanka ladies?
